The first building on this site went up in 1976 for the St. Thomas Aquinas parish. The parish had outgrown its original Mission Church, built in 1925 and named in honor of Tom Doyle and his early contributions to Litchfield Park. St. Thomas Aquinas was dedicated on February 23, 1986, with Bishop Thomas O'Brien and Father Tom Hever officiating.
That history isn't decoration — it's the foundation. The original cornerstone still sits on site, and the stained glass artwork now installed on the exterior turns the building's past into its most visible feature.
The Thomas is a neighborhood lifestyle center built on a redeveloped 1970s historic church site — three existing buildings, one adaptive reuse project. The main auditorium now houses the Litchfield Park Arts Center, a performance and event venue for up to five hundred guests. The adjacent buildings hold office, retail, and restaurant space.
It's located right off Indian School Road at 447 South Old Litchfield Road in Litchfield Park.
The Thomas is home to ten (10) women-owned businesses — a deliberate choice to build a community of local entrepreneurs, not just fill suites.
Across from Tierra Verde Lake, just yards from the new Litchfield Square development, with Indian School Road frontage and 230 parking spaces. Near the Wigwam Resort and the new Litchfield Square shops.
